Timothy M. Duly is currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree as a graduate research assistant in the Airglow and Irregularities Research Group under Prof. Jonathan Makela. His current research work is investigating the effects of electric fields in medium-scale traveling ionospheric disturbances (MSTIDs) on the linear Rayleigh-Taylor growth rate of equatorial spread F during solar minimum. This includes developing a model of the linear growth rate and analyzing the seeding effects of electric fields on the growth rate of instabilities. Timothy received his B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Ohio State University in 2009.
